Phase One Works was appointed to deliver the demolition and enabling works at Ark Soane in Acton, supporting the development of a new secondary school.
The project included full internal strip out, asbestos removal, and the controlled demolition of multiple buildings, including a 6 storey structure. Works were carefully planned and executed using specialist high reach equipment to ensure safe and efficient site clearance.
All materials were processed and reused on site, contributing to a more sustainable approach. Ground slabs, basement structures and foundations were removed, with the site prepared and stabilised for future construction.
The project was delivered with close attention to environmental controls, achieving a BREEAM rating of ‘Very Good’.
